Our goal using the Connecting Neighbors resource is to inspire individual congregations and communities to be better able to minimize disaster-caused harm to people and property and to respond to our neighbors in helpful, cooperative and caring ways on behalf of the church and in the spirit of Jesus Christ.
Rich information has also been included from other organizations and community partners - most notably the American Red Cross, National Disaster Interfaith Network, and FEMA.  Note: if we are unable to meet in person due to sheltering in place, then we will host virtual trainings

Module 1 - Saturday, June 6, 2020
Location:  Virtual Online via ZOOM (ZOOM information will be e-mailed to you)
Time: 9:00am - 10:30am
This workshop is focused on individual preparedness and the initial stages of congregational preparedness for disasters both natural and man-made.

Module 2 - Saturday, June 20, 2020
Location:  Virtual Online via ZOOM (ZOOM information will be e-mailed to you)
Time: 9:00am - 10:30am
This workshop emphasizes the importance of protecting church property and the people within the property, before and immediately
following a disaster.

Module 3 - Saturday, July 11, 2020
Location:  Virtual Online via ZOOM (ZOOM information will be e-mailed to you)
Time: 9:00am - 10:30am
This workshop encourages churches to explore their capacity for various disaster response ministries and to consider ways to engage community partners.

Open hearts. Open minds. Open doors.
